Morning Assembly by the Department of English

At Namrup College, the morning assembly has always been a meaningful space for reflection, motivation, and collective energy. Each department takes turns conducting the assembly for three consecutive days. Our students put their hearts into organizing and presenting thoughtful programmes each morning. The assemblies begin with the usual prayer and news reading, followed by short speeches, inspiring quotes, and creative presentations. The themes chosen by the students touch upon personal growth, social awareness, and the importance of empathy and environmental consciousness.

What makes these assemblies special is the enthusiasm and confidence of the students who come forward to speak and perform. For many, it is a chance to overcome stage fear and express themselves in front of the college community. The mornings feels alive—with laughter, applause, and moments of quiet reflection.

The department is proud of its students for their sincere efforts and teamwork. The experience not only helps them polish their communication skills but also reminded everyone that small beginnings—like a few minutes spent together each morning—can create a lasting sense of connection and inspiration across the campus. The highlight of today's session was its tribute to the Assam's beloved singer  Zubeen Garg by beginning it with a beautiful song of the legendary singer.
